Belize National Cybersecurity Assessment Maturity Consultation Review Meeting

As part of the ongoing national cybersecurity assessment consultation initiated by the World Bank in November 2025, the Ministry of E-Governance convened a follow-up meeting with key stakeholders at the Grand Resort and Residences in Belize City.

Representatives from government ministries, regulators, civil society, and academia met with the World Bank cybersecurity delegation, led by Dr. Giacomo Assenza, to review the draft findings from the initial national assessment. The report highlights the country’s growing momentum in enhancing its cybersecurity landscape, noting progress such as strengthened central leadership and advancements in incident response capabilities. The World Bank presented a five-year plan to enhance trust, expand national capacity, and align practices to support a resilient and coordinated cybersecurity environment. The final report will incorporate stakeholder feedback before being released publicly.

This first event of the year marks an important step in ongoing collaboration between the Ministry of E-Governance and partners across the public and private sectors to advance national cybersecurity efforts.
