The Belize Electronic License and Permits System (BELAPS) under the Supplies Control Unit (SCU) is an application that supports the issuing of import and export licenses for business and trade in Belize. Entities such as BAHA, Forest Department, Fisheries Department, and the Customs & Excise Department also use this system to complete their roles in the permitting process. The system was initially launched in 2012; it was later relaunched in 2021 with enhancements such as additional security features, improved user interface and complemented with training for users. Today, BELAPS is the single window application for import and export licenses and it supports applications for 417 business users.
